When you say, intake correspond to disease-patterns, I’m assuming by intake you mean what form of remedy is given? If so, the short answer is yes, sometimes certain forms of medicine are preferable to treat certain patterns than others. Generally speaking, tinctures are great places to start as they get the widest range of medicinal virtues from the plant, preserve well, and are easy for people to take. I prefer to use things like powders or infusions/decoctions when I want the herbs to come into direct contact with the gut wall. Otherwise, I’m kind of a tincture guy and that’s what I use the most.
